What employers actually ask
AIQQA Editorial

Can they use AI?\" is rarely the question an employer actually wants answered. Almost everyone can use AI, in the loosest sense of typing into a box. The question underneath it is whether the output can be trusted without someone more senior re-doing the work behind the scenes.
In conversations with employers shaping AIQQA's standards, the same concern comes up in different words: not "do they know the tools\" but \"do they know when the tools are wrong, and will they tell me before it becomes my problem.
That reframes what a qualification needs to certify. It is not tool fluency. It is the judgement to know when fluency is not enough — and the accountability to say so.
