Preparing for a New Generation of Qualifications
AI and emerging technologies are creating new opportunities for training and education providers, but they also bring new expectations around quality, assessment and learner outcomes.

AIQQA intends to work with high-quality providers that share our focus on practical skills development, meaningful assessment and clear standards.
As our qualification portfolio develops, we are beginning to build relationships with organisations interested in future delivery opportunities across artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
Delivery Partnership
Working With AIQQA
We want to develop relationships with providers that can demonstrate strong academic and operational standards and a clear commitment to learners.
Future AIQQA delivery partners will be expected to show that they have the people, systems and resources needed to deliver qualifications effectively and maintain the required standards.
This is likely to include areas such as:
- 01appropriate teaching and assessment capability;
- 02qualified and experienced staff;
- 03effective learner support;
- 04suitable quality assurance arrangements;
- 05appropriate systems and record keeping;
- 06secure assessment and learner information processes; and
- 07a commitment to continuous improvement.
Supporting Quality Delivery
Our aim is not simply to approve organisations to deliver qualifications.

- 01We want to build relationships with providers that can deliver consistently and give learners a strong experience.
- 02AIQQA intends to support future providers through clear requirements, guidance and ongoing communication.
- 03Quality assurance will form an important part of this relationship, helping to ensure that qualification standards are understood and applied consistently across different providers.
Assessment
Assessment and Standards
Assessment requirements will depend on the individual qualification and its purpose.
- 01
AIQQA qualifications will be designed around clear expectations of what learners should be able to understand, apply or demonstrate.
- 02
Training providers will play an important role in helping learners prepare for those expectations.
- 03
Where providers are involved in assessment activity, appropriate controls, guidance and quality assurance will be put in place to support consistency and confidence in results.
Insight & Development
Developing Provision Together
Training providers can also provide valuable insight into how skills needs are changing and how qualifications work in practice.

As AIQQA develops its portfolio, we are interested in hearing from providers about:
- 01emerging learner demand;
- 02new areas of skills development;
- 03employer and industry needs;
- 04practical delivery considerations;
- 05assessment approaches; and
- 06progression opportunities.
This input can help ensure that future qualifications remain relevant, manageable and useful to learners and employers.
Provider Approval
Future Provider Approval
AIQQA is developing the processes and quality arrangements that will support the future approval and monitoring of training providers.
These arrangements will be designed to protect qualification standards while giving providers clear expectations around delivery, assessment and learner support.
AIQQA is working towards recognition by Ofqual and does not currently offer Ofqual-regulated qualifications or operate an Ofqual-regulated centre approval process.
